Johnny Depp had better show up at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. The veteran actor will receive the award show’s highest honor: The MTV Generation Award.

Although he still looks impossibly young, 48-year-old Johnny has been acting for almost thirty years. Over the course of his career, he’s built up an enviable resume, ranking him up there with the likes of past Generation Award recipients Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Adam Sander, Tom Cruise, and more.

It’s definitely a well-deserved honor! Congratulations, Johnny!
