Prince William and Kate Middleton's "Low-Key" One-Year Anniversary Plans
Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the royal knot on April 29, 2011, saying their “I dos” in front of billions.
But their one-year anniversary plans are a little more laid back. A Palace aide revealed to Us Weekly, "They will be at a friend's celebration this weekend, but will return to Anglesey in time for their first anniversary. They will celebrate the anniversary privately, something low-key at home."
Before they became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William popped the question in October 2010 while the couple was on a trip to Kenya. One month later, Kate gushed to Britain’s ITV, "He's a true romantic and we had a wonderful holiday. [...] We were out there with friends, so I really didn't expect it at all. It was a total shock when it came. Very excited!"
It’s been a crazy year — for Kate especially, what with all her new social engagements... and that adorable puppy.
Here’s to many more happy years!
