The cast of Project Runway All Stars gathers around for a promo shot. Let's see how long they manage to play nice together.
Dear Project Runway All Stars fans: Click away if you haven't seen this week's episode, "Fashion Face Off." No, seriously stop reading.
Stop it.
You don't want to be spoiled.
Really.
Okay, are only people who've seen it and the idly curious left? Yes? Good. Let's take a moment to reflect on WTF happened last night, shall we?
The fashion face-off concept was clearly put in place to cause maximum disruption, confusion, and drama, and, to give the producers credit, it totally worked. Michael Costello, Rami Kashou, Mondo Guerra, and Austin Scarlett were all in the bottom.
Read over that list again and think about it for a second.
These were the four clear front-runners this season. We're sure we weren't the only ones with our jaws on the floor when we realized what had happened. No matter who went home, we were losing an interesting designer.
After all the Michael vs. Jerell idea-stealing drama that consumed the rest of the episode, we kind of expected Michael to get the boot. Instead, Rami went home.
Rami. Went. Home.
Talk about a big twist! We honestly had Rami pegged as a shoe-in for the final three; we've been eagerly anticipating his collection, and we're devastated over his elimination.
To be fair to the judges, Rami's draped jacket was far from flattering, and his royal-blue/chartreuse color combo was questionable at best. Plus, if they had sent Austin home this early, we would have actually smashed our TVs while sobbing. So, given the bottom two, we guess Rami was kind of the right call.
Still, while Rami failed to meet the mark this week, we've lost one of the strongest designers in Project Runway history, and the competition just got a little less elegant. We're really disappointed. How do you feel?
