Report: Chris Brown Tried to Pick a Woman Up By Promising to Not Beat Her

Really, dude?

Just three years after Chris Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault for a violent incident involving then-girlfriend Rihanna, the “Beautiful People” singer is apparently treating his criminal history like a joke.

Or at least that’s what a source for Us Weekly would have us believe. A woman told the mag that Chris tried to pick her up at the Lasio Professional Hair Care suite Grammy gift lounge on February 10. His line, according to the woman: “Can I get your number? I promise I won’t beat you!”

If true, that is one of the most sickening things we’ve ever heard.

Chris’s rep agrees, saying, “I’d be surprised if Chris said something that stupid.”

As demonstrated by the divided reaction to his Grammy performance on Sunday — his first at the awards show since he hit Rihanna in 2009 — people are still split on Chris.

Surprisingly, one of his fans may be Rihanna herself. According to reports they’ve been hooking up for nearly a year, and they may even be recording a single together.
