The people have spoken, and Robert Pattinson has "eclipsed" his acting competition!
Rob was awarded the British Performer of the Year for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 by the Richard Attenborough Film Awards over the weekend. Well-deserved, if you ask us.
Of the entire award ceremony, this was the only award that was chosen by fans.
Rob was up against some fierce competition for the prize. Among his fellow nominees were Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Rises), Daniel Craig (Skyfall), Emma Watson (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), and Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man).
Rob has had quite an impressive year professionally, as he also appeared in Cosmopolis and Bel Ami.
He is currently in Australia filming The Rover, which has reportedly led him and Kristen Stewart to have some sexy Skype sessions. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Congrats, Rob! And if you're an obsessed Twilight fan who voted online about a million times for Rob to win this award... well, then congrats to you, too.
