Don’t these two know they worry us when they fly solo at black-tie affairs, especially after the trying events of this past summer?

Panic set in over the weekend when Robert Pattinson hit up the star-studded LACMA Art + Film Gala 2012 on Saturday, October 27 — without girlfriend Kristen Stewart. The two had just PDA'd it up at a Prince concert on October 25, so why didn’t they continue the party at LACMA?

Rest assured, there’s a simple explanation for Kristen’s absence: “The reason that Rob went to the LACMA event by himself is because Kristen didn’t want to go to the event and take away from what the night was about,” a source tells Hollywood Life. “Plus they are saving being together for the Breaking Dawn red carpet.”

As if we needed another reason to be excited for Breaking Dawn - Part 2.
