Sacrilege! Mark-Paul Gosselaar Isn't a Saved by the Bell Fan

We have never been so disappointed in Zack Morris.

Former Saved by the Bell star Mark-Paul Gosselaar revealed something deeply shocking to Yahoo! while promoting the second season of his TNT show Franklin & Bash. “[Saved by the Bell is not a great show,” he opined. “The writing is kind of hokey. […] [I]t’s very much a piece of that time.”

He has a point: We no longer speak like A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano, cell phones have slimmed down, and acid-wash jeans are (mostly) a thing of the past. But the ‘90s classic is — and always will be — a great show.

Yes, Mark-Paul’s admission is much worse than James Van Der Beek’s charming ineptitude at Dawson’s Creek trivia.
