The Princess Bride's Cary Elwes Sued for Credit Card Debt
Credit cards can be tricky … even for actors.
TMZ reports that The Princess Bride’s Cary Elwes is being sued by Investment Retrievers Inc. after racking up $40,000 in credit card debt. After working with the company initially and writing them a check for $2,000, Cary reportedly stopped paying off his debt, and now, they are tired of waiting.
Cary is being sued for the remaining $38,334.12. Wow. The Princess Bride was a great movie, but we’re not sure Cary’s recent acting gigs (aka Saw and a lot of minor roles on TV shows) can help him with this one.
The court hearing is scheduled for March 13.
