Titanic Goes 3D! Plus The Hunter and American Reunion: Wetpaint Entertainment's Sexy-Not Sexy Weekend Movie Guide, 4/6
You know what they say: April showers bring... awesome opportunities to spend the weekend cozying up in a dry movie theater. Here's the scoop on three flicks opening this Friday, April 6.
Titanic (in 3D)
We're pretty sure you've seen this classic tale of love at least four or five hundred times, but just in case, here's the gist of it. Rich girl (Kate Winslet) meets super hot poor boy (Leonardo Dicaprio) on big ship, lets her hair down, and then some. Just when the lucky fellow thinks he's the king of the world, the ship hits an iceberg and... well, we don't want to give away the ending.
Sexy: Leo, revealing portraits, and handprints on steamy old-timey cars
Not sexy: Icebergs
Verdict: Duh, this is a total must-see with your girls — relive the magic on the big screen in 3D!
The Hunter
When an anonymous company sends an experienced mercenary (Willem Dafoe) into the wilderness in search of a supposedly extinct Tasmanian tiger, the mercenary grows close with his host family — and realizes his employers may have put him on a perilous path.
Sexy: Men roughing it
Not sexy: Shady employers
Verdict: After dragging your man to Titanic three times, it's only fair to switch it up with something more his style. This thriller fits the bill!
American Reunion
Drama not your thing? No problem — comedy's making a big comeback this weekend. The gang from American Pie, the '99 hit that gave a new meaning to warm apple pie, is back for their 10-year high-school reunion. A lot has changed, but a lot has stayed the same. Catch up with Jim, Stifler, Kevin, Finch, and, of course, Stifler's Mom.
Sexy: Teen boys turning into men
Not sexy: Poop jokes
Verdict: Unlike prior sequels to the American Pie franchise, this one actually includes the original gang in full and looks quite promising — a no-brainer for diehard fans.
