It’s a daddy-daughter reunion!

Tom Cruise was photographed carrying his daughter Suri into a New York City hotel on Tuesday, July 17, and People reports that it’s their first in-person visit since he and Katie Holmes reached a divorce settlement early last week.

Although Tom and Suri have apparently been video-chatting, a source close to the 50-year-old actor reveals that “[Tom]’s been dying to see her.”

In a statement about their settlement, the A-list parents expressed their mutual devotion to their 6-year-old daughter. “We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests,” they said. “We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents.”

Suri will live with Katie in New York, where she’ll start at a pricey private school in the fall.
