Was Lil Wayne Arrested Backstage at The 2012 Grammy Awards?

On Sunday night, a late-breaking rumor on Twitter claimed Lil Wayne was arrested on gun charges backstage at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. However, no news outlets have confirmed the story and NPR’s music critic Ann Powers quickly took to Twitter to say the rumor is, in fact, “false” and just a rumor.
Lil Wayne took the Grammys stage just minutes after the rumors spread in a performance with Foo Fighters and Deadmau5.
