Ever since he shot to superstardom in the first installment of The Twilight Saga, Robert Pattinson has been a staple at the MTV Movie Awards — winning Best Kiss every year since 2009 with Twilight co-star/real-life girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

Naturally, the couple was up for the same award again this year and they won, beating out The Hunger Games. Kristen accepted the Golden Popcorn all by herself, and the actress couldn't even get anyone to come up on stage and kiss her! Well, she can blame Rob because he skipped the big event altogether!

E! Online’s Marc Malkin explained Rob's noted absence, tweeting, “#RobertPattinson's rep just confirmed to me that he will NOT be at MTV Movie Awards because he'll be out promoting #Cosmopolis.”

It’s too bad, because whether he’s dropping an F-bomb during the live telecast, kissing Taylor Lautner instead of K-Stew, or looking sexy on the red carpet, Rob always knows how to keep things interesting at the MTV Movie Awards. Rob, you were missed!
