Will Justin Timberlake Play Elton John Again in a New Biopic?

For a man who’s been knighted and wears notoriously ridiculous outfits, not just any biopic will do. According to The Los Angeles Times, Elton John would prefer the movie version of his life to be even more over-the-top than the real thing. “[It’s] going to be a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life, more in the manner of a Moulin Rouge! I just don't want it to be a normal biopic because my life hasn't been like that,” says John. Considering this is a guy who put a streetcar in his garden, was the inspiration for a life-sized chocolate statue, and once played a concert in a Donald Duck suit, we think the truth would be far stranger than any fiction.

In Elton's opinion, only one man can fill his platform shoes: Justin Timberlake. “No. 1 on my wish list [to portray me] is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of ‘Rocket Man’ and was superb,” John told the Los Angeles Times. Sir Elton was actually misremembering the 2001 video for “This Train Don’t Stop There Anymore,” when Timberlake dressed in a Beetlejuice-esque suit and oversized rose-tinted glasses.
