Lindsay Lohan isn’t exactly who comes to mind when we think of a homebody, but she may want to change that.

According to TMZ, the 26-year-old Mean Girl star has been offered a 90-day house arrest sentence  a cushy alternative to prison  to settle her latest legal woes. Lindsay is in trouble for allegedly lying to police about the details pertaining to a car accident she was involved in last year. Cops say she was driving, while Lindsay insists she was merely a passenger. If she was driving, then she would have been in violation of her probation terms after she pleaded no contest in that whole necklace-theft fiasco.

A three month staycation doesn't sound so miserable to us, at least not when you consider that jail and rehab are the only other options — but word is Lindsay is not pleased with the offer. TMZ reports that Lindsay's lawyer, Mark Heller, is contesting on Lindsay's behalf, asking that the punishment be reduced.

LiLo's case could go to trial as soon as March 18, sources say, and the odds are not in her favor. If she's convicted, she could face months of real prison time. The choice seems obvious to us: Lindsay, get your DVR on and couch out for a few months!
