No girls allowed… unless they’re 18 or older.
YouTube slapped a restriction on Madonna’s new video for “Girl Gone Wild,” saying it breaches “community guidelines.” The black-and-white video is five minutes of Madonna writhing in chains, dressing like a sexy soccer referee, and crying mascara tears. But it’s the interspersed images of bare-chested men fondling Madonna and showing off bare butts that probably prompted Google — YouTube’s parent company — to force would-be viewers to sign in and prove their age.
In a Facebook chat, Madonna told Jimmy Fallon she wasn’t happy with the decision to restrict her video, saying, “But I’m supposed to be a girl gone wild in the video. How can you go wild and not grind?”
Madonna caused more controversy at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival on March 24 when she wore some hot pants that bared quite a bit of her own behind and asked, “How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?” The question refernced slang for the drug MDMA, and artist Deadmau5 called Madonna a “f***ing idiot” for promoting drug culture.
Oh, Deadmau5. Don’t you know you can’t keep a girl gone wild down?
