10 Celebrities Who Have Been Arrested For a Good Cause (PHOTOS)

On February 27, 2012, former Xena star Lucy Lawless was arrested alongside five Greenpeace activists on top of an Arctic-bound drillship in New Zealand. The arrest ended Lucy’s 76-hour occupation of the ship, during which she protested Shell’s exploratory oil drilling program, which threatened to devastate the Alaska coastline.

Lucy, who pled guilty to trespassing and now faces up to three years in jail, is to be sentenced sometime this fall.
