A little makeup goes a long way — and a lot of makeup wins you an MTV Movie Award.

Or at least that’s how it worked for Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks, who donned full Capitol fashion as excessively cheery, manners-obsessed Effie Trinket for the mega-hit movie. Elizabeth scored the Best On-screen Transformation award at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards on June 3, beating out the likes of Rooney Mara (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) and Michelle Williams (My Week With Marilyn) for the undisguised honor.
