Tobey Maguire: Spider-Man
Tobey Maguire manifested a spidey sense in the 2002-2007 Spider-Man trilogy, bringing his boyish, aw-shucks charm to awkward Peter Parker, who develops superhuman abilities after being bitten by a mutant spider. The first movie grossed a whopping $822 million worldwide — and an unprecedented $100 million in its first weekend — making it the 30th highest-grossing film of all time. Tobey earned a cool $26 million for the two sequels.
While the action sequences are impressive and all, the hottest moment in the three-part series has to be Tobey and Kirsten Dunst’s upside-down kiss in the rain, which was memorably recreated by Seth (Adam Brody) and Summer (Rachel Bilson) on The O.C. (Kirsten played Peter’s love interest, Mary Jane Watson, in all three films.)
