Anyone playing King Arthur has to be hot, and Bradley James definitely fits the bill.

Let's get one thing straight: Despite the occasional moments of startling emotional depth, Merlin is basically pure guilty-pleasure fluff. But what a pleasure it is! A retelling of the classic King Arthur tale that reimagines Merlin as a servant who is Arthur's age, this BBC show was inspired by Smallville, and you can tell. It follows the time-honored CW tradition of making pretty people run around on screen doing amusing things (in this case, swinging swords, casting spells, talking to dragons, and making out), and it's just as addictive as shows like Supernatural and Gossip Girl.

How much is there? Four seasons of 13 episodes each, with a fifth premiering in September in the UK.

How you can watch: The first three seasons are available on Netflix, and the first two are on Hulu. It looks like Season 4 isn't out yet, but it should come to Netflix eventually. Season 5 will air on SyFy starting in January 2013.
