While Idol host Ryan Seacrest was playing in the ocean during a Mexican vacation in August 2008, a sand shark bit his toe — drive-by style. “I was bit by a shark! It swam up to me, and it took a bite, and then he left,” he revealed on his radio show after the incident. “There are a thousand people in the ocean, and I get bit by the shark.” As a painful memento, the cat-size shark left three holes in Ryan’s toe.
