Marilyn Manson — Mansinthe Absinthe
Contrary to popular belief, absinthe is not illegal in the U.S. — but real absinthe is hard to find. Enter Marilyn Manson, who launched Mansinthe on August 25, 2007. His version is a highly alcoholic (66%!) anise-flavored spirit that contains wormwood, the active ingredient in real absinthe. Though Mansinthe is primarily only available in Europe, the alcoholic oddity certainly suits Marilyn’s legendary eccentricities.
