We’d be shocked if the Modern Family writers didn’t borrow some of Gloria Delgado-Pritchett’s backstory from the real bio of Sofia Vergara. Both the character and the actress were born in Barranquilla, Colombia, “the murder capital of the world,” and raised in the Catholic faith. They’re also mothers with fantastic senses of humor. And let’s not forget those show-stopping good looks.
