The Bachelorette 2012 Finale, Kristen Stewart Cheating Scandal, The Dark Knight Rises Shooting: Week in Review, 7/27

Unfortunately, we have to end this news update on a painfully sad note. The country was shocked and devastated when the story spread that a gunman had opened fire at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises, killing 12 people (including a 6-year-old) and injuring 59.

Celebs expressed their sympathy via Twitter, and director Christopher Nolan and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Christian Bale, and Anne Hathaway all released personal statements. Bale also made a special trip to Aurora to meet with the victims and their families.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this terrible and senseless act.
