After playing doting dad Alan Matthews on all seven seasons of Boy Meets World, William Russ decided to stick it out on the small screen. The 62-year-old actor has guest-starred on a string of popular shows — Ally McBeal, Touched by an Angel, Deadwood, CSI: NY, JAG, NYPD Blue, The West Wing, Without a Trace, The Sopranos, Ghost Whisperer, Numb3rs, CSI, Boston Legal, The Mentalist, The Young and the Restless, 90210, Criminal Minds, Awake, and NCIS — but he hasn’t landed a regular role since his Boy Meets World heyday. His big-screen highlight? A movie called 1,001 Ways to Enjoy the Missionary Position.
Most recently, William played Mert Hayes on two episodes of the new CBS series Vegas. He and his wife, actress Clare Wren, have two children.
Betsy Randle: Amy Matthews
Boy Meets World mother Betsy Randle, 57, stepped out of the spotlight after the series finale to play mom to her two children with film editor hubby John Randle. Her small-screen exceptions include one episode of the R.L. Stine series The Nightmare Room, four episodes of Charmed, and a July 2008 TV spot for Advil. It’s been a wild ride.
