Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t perform CPR or pull anyone from a burning building, but the A-list actress/Glee guest-star (along with a lot of luck) “saved” a woman’s life many years ago. Lara Lindstrom Clarke was jaywalking on her way to the Christopher Street subway station on September 11, 2001, when Gwyneth (in an SUV) was driving down the street. After both ladies stopped for several seconds, Clarke continued on her way to work, just missing a subway that would have taken her to her office on the 77th floor of the World Trade Center’s South Tower.
