Writer Maureen Orth claims that Scientology secretly interviewed women to be Tom Cruise’s next significant other in 2004, meeting with them under the guise of an audition for a new training film.

Apparently, Iranian-born, London-raised actress Nazanin Boniadi made the cut and went on to date Tom for a couple months in late 2004. When things didn’t work out, Nazanin was allegedly moved to a Florida Scientology center, where — according to Orth — she was made to do menial labor after telling someone about her relationship with Tom.

Scientology reps have dismissed Orth’s sources as “disgruntled apostates.”
