Giuliana & Bill stars Giuliana and Bill Rancic became first-time parents when they welcomed son Edward Duke via surrogate in late August.
It’s been a rough road to parenthood for the high-profile couple: After struggling with infertility and enduring two rounds of in vitro fertilization and one miscarriage, Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2011 and had a double mastectomy in December.
“I couldn’t believe that all those years of struggling and the tears actually paid off,” Giuliana tells Life & Style. “Every shot, every doctor’s visit — in the end, when you’re holding your baby in your arms, you forget it all, and it’s worth it.”
