Since he was such a baddie in Home Alone, it’s no surprise that Joe was a key player in two decades of crime flicks, including Once Upon a Time in America, Goodfellas, and Casino. He also received an Oscar nomination for his role in Raging Bull.

He announced his retirement from acting in 1999 and has since pursued other ventures, like producing (working on the Broadway smash Jersey Boys) and singing (having released the genre-bending album Vincent LaGuardia Gambini Sings Just For You in 1998). He still appears on-screen occasionally, with roles in The Good Shepherd and a current Snickers commercial.
