Matthew played Charlie, the eldest Salinger. Charlie begrudgingly stepped into the parental role after the Salinger parents passed away. He started off as a slightly alcoholic womanizer, but grew up quite a bit by the series’ end.

As Jack Shephard on Lost, Matthew (46 now) may have been the most successful Party of Five alum when it comes to reclaiming his “Best Known For” status. Sadly, he made headlines for the wrong reasons recently, having been arrested for driving under the influence in May 2012.

He appeared on the big screen as a super sinewy serial killer in the 2012 thriller Alex Cross and has a role in the 2013 Brad Pitt apocalpyse flick World War Z.
