The 2012 Emmy Awards went down on Sunday, September 23, and the evening was the typical mix of expected wins, major upsets, ridiculous moments, and fashion hits and misses.

Homeland won big, taking home the Outstanding Drama, Outstanding Actor in a Drama, Outstanding Actress in a Drama, and Outstanding Writing For a Drama statues. This came as a surprise to those who expected Mad Men to continue its Outstanding Drama winning streak, as well as those who’d predicted another Outstanding Actor win for Bryan Cranston.
