Then: The middle and cutest of the kids on Home Improvement, Randy was so crushable... even if he rasped like he’d been smoking since his toddler days. We watched Tom and Huck (RIP Brad Renfro) so many times we wore out the video tape. In 1998, JTT left Home Improvement to further his education, which we have nothing but respect for.

Now: Jonathan hasn’t appeared in anything since a 2005 Veronica Mars episode, which puts him in the same category of coolness as fellow heartthrob Rider Strong. Instead of acting, Jonathan spent the late-‘90s and early ‘00s in college, finally earning a degree from Columbia University in 2010. (Don’t ask what he did in the meantime.) He reunited for a photo with the Home Improvement cast in September of 2011, so hopefully he’ll make his way back onto the small screen soon.
