Few knew about the November 2007 nuptials between Ellen Pompeo and music producer Chris Ivery. The duo were married in a simple ceremony at New York City Hall with Mayor Michael Bloomberg as their only witness. Though this photo is not of Ellen’s dress, the bride did in fact wear black. The Grey’s Anatomy star donned an ebony cocktail frock by Yves Saint Laurent, which she’d purchased in Paris over the summer. Following the wedding, the newlyweds enjoyed an equally low-key honeymoon. Ellen and Chris were spotted sitting courtside at a Knicks game just two days later.
