Heidi Montag (Seasons 1-6)
Then: Heidi started out the show as a fresh-faced, fierce friend of Lauren Conrad with a bit of a work-ethic issue. She dropped out of college practically on her first day and at the age of 19 started working for a major PR company in L.A. — Brent Bolthouse Productions, Inc. We’re sure those jobs are easy to come by without a college degree.
She also kicked off the series with what we thought was a dramatic relationship with Jordan Eubanks. But we didn’t know the definition of drama until she met Spencer Pratt. Together they destroyed her friendship with Lauren, made the plastic surgery industry even richer, and sincerely tried to be the most overexposed celebs in Hollywood.
Now: The show ended with everyone (including Spencer’s sister, Stephanie) agreeing to cut Speidi out of their lives. The couple was into crystal gazing and seemed to have fallen off the deep end in a major way.
Heidi embarked on a music career in 2007, eventually releasing her debut album — Superficial — in 2010. The highlight of this endeavor has to be her heavily auto-tuned song, “Body Language,” which she performed at the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant. Heidi also covered the September 2009 issue of Playboy, and she and Spencer released a book, How To Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture, the following month.
Us Weekly reported in August 2011 that the couple was living rent-free at Spencer’s parents’ home after losing tons of money to plastic surgery. Ouch. But it’s not all doom and gloom: Spencer is currently studying Political Science at USC, and Heidi is splitting her time between her “music career” and being domestic — at least according to their Twitter pages.
Heidi was spotted at former Hills co-star Kristin Cavallari’s baby shower last month, and Stephanie Pratt was also in attendance; either the girls have patched things up, or it was a dramatic, stuffed-animal-filled day!
