New Girl creator Liz Meriwether said it herself: Kazoo-carrying Paul is "the male version of Jess." So they're a match made in heaven, right?

Wrong. Whomp whomp.

Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Paul (guest star Justin Long) are destined to break up, and — according to TVLine — Jess will find a new guy come Valentine's Day. The hitch? The new fella still lives with his ex and hails from Dullsville. What a catch!

As for Nick (Jake Johnson), he's poised to become smitten with a cultured gal played by Lizzy Caplan. Someone's about to be #winning in the love department! (At least over Jess.)
