Hannah Simone is a former model (life, meet art!) and television host. After studying political science at the University of British Columbia, she took a job as a researcher for a book by former Foreign Affairs minister Lloyd Axworthy. She then moved to London to support the Model UN program and serve as a human rights and refugee officer.

But that career path didn’t last. Hannah returned to school to study radio and television arts, and she hit the small screen in 2006 as a VJ on MuchMusic, Canada’s largest music channel. After two years with the network, she moved to L.A. to host two seasons of SyFy’s WCG Ultimate Gamer.

New Girl is her first major acting gig.
