Selena Gomez’s New Hip Tattoo: Singer Reveals Its Personal Meaning
Selena Gomez made headlines for more than just her killer bikini body last week. While vacationing in Miami, the 21-year-old songstress debuted a teeny, tiny hip tattoo that left fans scratching their heads.
The tattoo is so small, in fact, not even our biggest magnifying glass could uncover what the text said. However, on Tuesday, November 5, Selena finally revealed the hidden meaning behind her ink — and no, it has nothing to do with Justin Bieber.
“It’s my favorite Bible verse,” Selena explained while chatting to On Air With Ryan Seacrest. “It’s Philippians 4:13. ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’”
While Selena’s choice of a Bible verse certainly isn’t shocking, what did surprise us is the fact that Selena’s had the tat for over a year! “It’s really small,” she added. “I’ve been pretty good at actually keeping it hidden.”
This is the third tattoo for the “Come & Get It” singer, who famously has a musical note on her right wrist, as well as the Roman numerals LXXVI (76) in honor of her mother’s birth year.
Are you liking Selena’s new(ish) tattoo? Do you think she has any other tats that she’s keeping a secret?
