Things got weird during the 2017 Oscars when the trailer for Will Smith’s Netflix project Bright popped up during the commercial break.

Although the fantasy cop drama will appear on the TV-leaning streaming service, it’s actually a feature-length movie like 2015’s Oscar-courting Beasts of No Nation.

Bright stars Will as sword-and-riot-gear-sporting Ward, a human cop who patrols an alternate dimension L.A. where orcs, fairies, and other magical creatures have co-existed with us homo sapiens since the dawn of time.

Great Gatsby star Joel Egerton plays Ward’s partner, an orc named Jakoby.
