Hilary Duff to Release “Chasing the Sun,” Her First Single in Years, on July 29 (VIDEO)
Hilary Duff's music career is no longer "So Yesterday" — she has a new single coming out within a week's time!
The 26-year-old Disney alum is preparing to release her fifth album later this year — her first studio album in over seven years. (Yes, it's been a long time since 2007's Dignity.)
But in the meantime, she's treating us to the single "Chasing the Sun," which RCA will release on Tuesday, July 29.
"I took a break from music for quite awhile, but it gave me the power to choose my next steps carefully and I'm really proud of the album I've made," the Duffster enthused in a press release, per Us Weekly. "'Chasing The Sun' is a light and fun summer song that I hope helps people to feel a little more carefree."
She continues: "'Chasing The Sun' is just a peek into my new album. I've worked very hard, and the album is a great representation of the experiences I've had in my life and where I want to go from here!"
The upcoming album is hardly Hil's only recent project. She's also filming the upcoming TVLand sitcom Younger alongside Sutton Foster — and she's raising her two-year-old son with estranged husband Mike Comrie.
Welcome back, Hilary — we've all been waiting for you!
