Tonight, March 2, 2014 is Hollywood’s biggest night, as movie stars from all across the land will flock to the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles to honor the best actors, actresses, directors, and more from the past year in movies.
Wetpaint Entertainment will have plenty of coverage of the 86th Academy Awards, but what about The Walking Dead? The AMC hit is a Sunday night staple for us, but has the network really decided to have an all-new hour go up against on of the biggest night’s of the year? Yes!
Rejoice, TWD fans, because we’re here to tell you that our favorite walker-ridden show will be airing at 9 p.m. ET with a brand-new episode to boot! Tonight marks the debut of Season 4, Episode 12: “Still,” an hour centered around Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Beth Greene (Emily Kinney). Admittedly we don’t know all that much about “Still,” but Norman did said that Beth acts as a “candle in the darkness” for a despondent Daryl.
The official episode synopsis is: “An enlightening mission springs from a request from one of the group members.” Vague, we know, but we’ve put together a handy promo and sneak peeks analysis so you can be in the know before the episode even starts.
And while you may be tempted to switch to the Oscars once the clock strikes 10 p.m. we’d encourage you to stay tuned to AMC for an all-new episode of the Chris Hardwick-hosted after show, Talking Dead. Norman and Emily are scheduled to be the guests for the evening so we know we’re in for another great hour of TWD TV!
Are you surprised AMC decided to schedule a new episode of TWD on the same night as the Academy Awards? Tell us your thoughts below!
