Newly Released Buffy the Vampire Slayer Behind-the-Scenes Footage! (VIDEO)
Talk about a Throwback Thursday treat! On June 26, former Buffy the Vampire Slayer stunt coordinator Jeff Pruitt posted 31 minutes of never-before-seen footage from the set of Buffy Season 2 on YouTube.
The scenes include looks at how the crew handled the show’s stunts, and some fun interviews with the cast. We see James Marsters (Spike) getting his hair done, David Boreanaz (Angel) tossing a football around and cursing, and Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy) booty-dancing while ice skating.
One of the clip’s best scenes is the breakdown of the epic battle between Buffy and Angelus in the Season 2 finale. Not only is it one of the best sword fights in the show, it’s one of the best fight scenes, period.
Watching this footage just makes us want to go back to Sunnydale High School and rock some leather pants. Season 2 of Buffy aired from September 1997 to May 1998, which was more than 15 years ago.
We’ll pause why you go cry at The Bronze and listen to some Michelle Branch.
Buffy brought us some of the best moments in pop culture history — resurrection from the dead (twice) and a musical episode! It was recently named one of the Top 10 TV shows of all time by Entertainment Weekly.
This clip is certainly worth the watch, after all, Buffy saved the world ... a lot.
