Michael Lohan may not win any nominations for Father of the Year, but at least he’s no longer a deadbeat dad.
The much-maligned Lohan family patriarch has finally coughed up $30,422 in back child support to his ex-wife, Dina, the mother of his kids Lindsay, Ali, Michael, and Cody.
While Lindsay, Ali, and Michael are all over the age of 18, Cody’s still a minor, so Dina has been entitled to some support from her spouse to the tune of $1,500 each month. TMZ reports that the $30 grand may also cover his delinquent periods when Ali was a minor.
As for the reason he kept his wallet closed for so long, Michael said, “I admit I withheld part of [Cody's] child support because I was angry about certain things that were happening ... I was wrong and I'm making things right with Dina and my children."
It looks like he chose the perfect time to make things right with his family — Dina had asked a judge to hold Michael in contempt for nonpayment, but he managed to slip his payment in just under the wire.
