A beloved and trusted TV personality has sadly passed away.

Dr. Joyce Brothers died on May 13 in NYC at age 85, according to the Associated Press.

Joyce was a psychologist who was known for syndicated advice shows on both TV and radio.

She also had a monthly column in Good Housekeeping for nearly forty years, along with a syndicated newspaper column.

Joyce was married to medical doctor Milton Brothers from 1949 until he passed away in 1989. She is survived by their daughter Lisa, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Joyce has also appeared in a slew of TV shows including EntourageMelrose Place, The Simpsons, and Frasier. She also appeared various times on such celebrity game shows as Match Game and Hollywood Squares.
