It's been a happy past few months for Holly Madison, but this could put a damper on things.
Pasquale Rotella — her fiancé and the father of her baby girl, Rainbow — was in court on May 13 to face charges for bribery, embezzlement, conspiracy, and conflict of interest, according to Radar Online.
If convicted, he could serve as much as 13 years and 8 months in prison.
Prosecutors allege that Pasquale used more than $2.5 million in funds from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum — where he has hosted raves — to pay off city officials. Yikes.
Pasquale will appear in court again on July 29.
This may throw a wrench in the couple's wedding plans, as the Girls Next Door star just announced that the two plan to wed in August. They welcomed Rainbow in March.
"Any allegations of wrongdoing on the part of Mr. Rotella by the District Attorney’s office are completely baseless and flat-out wrong, both on the law and on the facts," Pasquale's attorney has said.
We're wishing the family all the best during this trying time, and we hope they can soon move onto the "next" chapter of their lives.
