Sometimes the line at Starbucks gets so long you feel like shooting someone, but ... hopefully this doesn't start a trend.
According to The Huffington Post, a woman accidentally shot her friend in the leg on Saturday while they were waiting in line at a Starbucks in a mall in St. Petersburg, Florida.
How in the world could that happen? St. Pete police told HuffPo that Pamela Beck moved to set her bags down to pay for her drink, and her purse hit the ground hard. At the bottom of the handbag was a fully-loaded .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun and it went off, hitting her friend Amie Peterson above the knee.
Pamela told police her dad gave her the gun about a year ago and she forgot that it was even there. She doesn't have a permit to carry a concealed weapon. Thankfully, it sounds like Amie is relatively OK. HuffPo says she was treated and released at a nearby trauma center. And obviously, if this friendship is still active, Pamela is paying for all future drinks.
