Celebrities continue to get victimized by swatting — and some have now had it happen to them more than once.
Miley Cyrus was swatted for the second time on May 17, with police rushing to her home for a made-up 911 emergency, according to TMZ.
"Swatting" refers to a prank in which someone will call 911 and claim that there is a crime taking place at a famous person's house, so that the swat team will show up at the celeb's house for no reason.
Police reportedly received a 911 call at around 8:55 p.m. on Friday night from a woman who said she was calling from her closet and said shots had been fired in her home.
When cops then arrived at the address — which was actually Miley's home — they realized there was nothing wrong.
Sources say Miley was not home at the time.
Her home had been previously swatted back in August 2012.
So how did Miley react to the newest incident? She has yet to comment directly, but she retweeted a message from her brother that seems to reflect her family's relief that everything was okay.
"Thank you God for this day," Trace Cyrus wrote last night.
Miley herself wrote "CAN'T STOP. CARRY ON." on Twitter last night, which could be seen as a message that she's going to live her life, despite the swatting incidents. Or maybe it's just her way of promoting her upcoming single, "We Can't Stop."
We're just glad no one was hurt.
