Let’s hear it for the early birds!

Back in January, country singer Chely Wright, 42, said she and her wife Lauren Blitzer-Wright were expecting twins in July, but noted "with identical twins they typically have to be delivered a month early." In March, pregnant Chely updated with the gender — she was having two little boys, and they would be born in June.

Fast-forward to today, and Chely's rep told People she and Lauren welcomed their identical twin sons on Saturday, May 18 in New York City.

Although born early, Cheyl's rep told People the boys were thriving. They're named George Samuel and Everett Joseph, in honor of their great-grandfathers. “We are grateful for all the amazing medical care and the love and support of family and friends,” Chely said.

Congrats to the happy, healthy family!
