We have good news as a canceled NBC is putting down new roots at TLC.

NBC had canceled celebrity genealogy series Who Do You Think You Are?, and now new episodes are set to air on TLC this summer, according to The Wrap.

The show had been canceled back in May 2012, and it has been surprisingly given new life by TLC.

New episodes premiere on July 23.

"Who Do You Think You Are? is at home on TLC, going beyond these famous names and revealing the hidden backstories of today’s biggest celebrities," says TLC's general manager.

The new episodes will focus on the family lineage of such celebs as Christina Applegate, Cindy Crawford, and Zooey Deschanel. So Zooey may get to learn about her very quirky forebears.

"We hand-picked these contributors because they are real, down-to-earth individuals who have a deep passion for family, which is central to our brand," the network exec adds. "Our audience will join them on this emotional journey as they learn never-before-known details about their own lives.”

And producer Lisa Kudrow is delighted that the show is getting another chance.

"I've never stopped hearing about how much people love" the show, Lisa says, adding that "TLC is a great home for the series."

So if you didn't think you had summer plans already, you do now!
