Someone just won't let a beloved actor rest in peace.

TMZ is reporting that Michael Clark Duncan, best-known for playing John Coffey in the Academy Award-winning film The Green Mile, may have had a racist visitor at his grave.

A family friend was visiting the final resting place of the actor at Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills when she found a face attached to the center of the tomb resembling the racist black archetyle "Sambo." The cartoonish face has several markers of the bigoted caricature, including a pitch black face and a cartoonish, bright mouth.

The family contacted the LAPD about the vandal, and were reportedly told that the incident could be a hate crime! Police are investigating.

The face was, of course, immediately removed.

Michael Clark Duncan tragically died last September of a heart attack at the age of 54.

Our thoughts are with his family. It's bad enough to lose a family member to an untimely death, but to have even more horrible incidents related to the loss of a loved one resurface for months? This must be a really difficult time.
