UPDATE: Aaron Hernandez was arrested early today, Wednesday, June 26 — as NBC News reports — though there's no word on the official charges. Meanwhile, the Patriots have released him from the team.
NFL star Aaron Hernandez might be at the center of a homicide investigation, as the Huffington Post reports.
Police are currently investigating the shooting death of 27-year-old semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, a friend of Hernandez who was dating the sister of Hernandez's girlfriend, ABC News reports.
Lloyd's body was found in an industrial park a mile from Hernandez's mansion on Monday, having been shot in the head.
As police searched his North Attleborough, Mass., house, Hernandez may have intentionally broken his home surveillance system and his cell phone before police searched his North Attleborough, Mass., house.
ABC's sources also claim that a team of house cleaners scrubbed the New England Patriots tight end's house.
WBZ News in Boston reported that an arrest warrant had been issued for Hernandez, on the grounds of obstruction of justice.
However, the Boston Globe and NFL.com cited other sources who said that no such warrant had been issued. A warrant may still be forthcoming today, ABC reports.
