She may be the picture of perfection, but Kate Middleton’s pregnancy is far from normal. The duchess is excited to welcome her first child with Prince William any moment now, and we’ve loved following her every move for the past nine months.

Here are some strange facts about the Duchess of Cambridge’s unusual pregnancy.

1. She Barely Looks Pregnant

Seriously, there’s a solid chance that Kate just ate a particularly large burrito before making a few public appearances. You can barely tell that this royal sweetheart is expecting, especially when compared to certain other recently-pregnant celebrities (we’re not naming names, but what rhymes with Smarsmashian?).

2. She’s Considering Hypnobirthing

Grazia Magazine reports that the duchess is considering the process of hypnobirthing for her first offspring. But never fear, hypnobirthing doesn’t involve any magicians and swinging pocket watches. This process is supposed to help with any stress or fear of the pain that comes with childbirth.

3. She Has Rules For Announcing the Birth

As with all things royal, there’s a specific procedure that accompanies the announcement of the royal baby. After the declaration of birth is printed and signed by the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, it will be taken to Buckingham Palace, framed, and displayed just behind the palace gates. Sadly, the declaration won’t feature the newborn’s name. An electronic release will also be sent out, but, let’s face it, the framed declaration is much more exciting.

4. Her Baby Could Boost the Economy by $380 Million Before He or She Is Even Born!

Talk about influence! William and Kate’s baby is set to contribute $380 million (or £240 million) to the British economy before he or she is even born!

5. She Announced Her Last Appearance Before Giving Birth

There won’t be any paparazzi-photographed trips to the grocery store for this expectant mommy. Her last appearance was at the christening of the cruise ship, Royal Princess. At this event Kate wore a bold leopard-print maternity ensemble, and that will be the last of the maternity wear we see from the duchess. Sigh, you’ve been a pregnant inspiration to us all, Kate!
